Exam centre integration
Book exams at Autoveiligheid, straight from BIQSDRIVE
With BIQSDRIVE you book an exam at Autoveiligheid without opening the exam centre's portal, and the software first checks whether your candidate may sit it. SBAT, KM, Autosécurité and AIBV are coming soon. For other centres you add your own exam slots.
Which exam centres are connected?
The integration with Autoveiligheid is available. It runs on your own driving school's API key, and available slots come in per centre, day and exam type. In Wallonia you work with your own exam slots for now. BIQSDRIVE 27 starts in January 2027.
| Exam centre | Region | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Autoveiligheid | Antwerp, Limburg and Flemish Brabant | Available |
| SBAT | East Flanders | Coming soon |
| KM | West Flanders | Coming soon |
| Autosécurité | Wallonia | Coming soon |
| AIBV | Wallonia | Coming soon |
| Any other centre | All regions | Your own exam slots |
How a booking at Autoveiligheid works
You book practical and theory exams from the exam bookings, an available slot in the exam planner or your candidate's file.
Choose the candidate and exam type
You search one centre or all centres, over a period you choose.
Choose an available slot
Available slots are synchronised every two hours during the day. If you don't want to wait, you start a synchronisation yourself.
Review the result
Before anything is sent, BIQSDRIVE shows what is still missing and any exam rules or scheduling conflicts that apply.
Book or reserve
If the file is complete, you book and the candidate goes to the centre. If something is missing, you reserve the slot and send the candidate later.
An exam only counts as booked once the centre accepts the candidate. If the centre refuses, you keep the reservation and see its error message.
What BIQSDRIVE checks before you book
BIQSDRIVE checks the admission requirements against the exam rules of your region and your own rules. If something is wrong, you see the reason.
- The minimum age for the category, which is lower for lorries and buses with the professional qualification.
- A passed theory exam that is still valid.
- A valid medical certificate, if the category requires one.
- The required lesson hours after repeated fails.
- A provisional licence that is valid on the exam date.
- At least one accompanying driver who meets the conditions on the exam day, for category B on an M36 or M12.
The centre also needs the name, date of birth, national register number and address. With itsme® nobody has to retype them. All the rules, and how to add your own, are under exams and exam centres.
After the booking: change, cancel and follow up
What happens directly at the centre shows up in BIQSDRIVE too.
- Exams from the Autoveiligheid portal appear in BIQSDRIVE. You link them to an enrolment, create a customer or ignore them.
- If you cancel an exam, the reservation at the centre goes too.
- You give reserved time back as long as it is more than 3 working days ahead, and you change the exam type of a slot in BIQSDRIVE.
- An incomplete file, a refused candidate or a failed synchronisation triggers a notification, by email too if you want.
What the integration doesn't do yet: move an exam to another slot (you cancel and book again) and add exam fees to an order automatically.
Working with a centre that isn't connected
As long as a centre isn't connected, you add exam slots yourself, one by one or as a weekly series. You then book your candidates in the exam planner, with the same check of the admission requirements.
Wallonia has steps of its own, such as the risk perception test (TPR) and the technical driving skills test (TCTC). They are part of the exam rules for Wallonia, so BIQSDRIVE checks those requirements too.
In Flanders, professional qualification exams for categories C and D are booked at Autoveiligheid in the same way. There is more on this under Code 95 and ADR.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions about booking exams
What do I need to connect to Autoveiligheid?
Your driving school's API key. An administrator switches on the integration in the settings, chooses the environment and enters the key. You then test the connection on an exam centre.
Does booking exams cost extra?
No, booking exams is included in your licence. The cost of the exam itself is separate. All the prices are on the pricing page.
When are SBAT, KM, Autosécurité and AIBV coming?
Those integrations are coming soon, but we aren't giving a date yet. Until then, you add your own exam slots for those centres.
Can I still book directly in the exam centre's portal?
Yes. During the day, BIQSDRIVE checks every two hours which appointments exist at Autoveiligheid and shows those exams in a separate list, so you can link them to the right candidate.
